Applications should be submitted by March 1st, 2012. We will review applications on a rolling basis so you are encouraged to apply sooner rather than later.

*To apply, send a letter (one page or more) talking about yourself non-academically and telling us why you would be good for this kind of work. Attach your resume, and send the package to fellowship@upenyu.org.*

Once you have submitted your application, you can expect to hear back soon so that we can enter dialogue and get to know each other.

We expect to have our fellows chosen by the middle of March. From the middle of March to the end of August, fellows and members will collaborate to begin the planning process for health projects. From September 2012 to May 2013, fellows will be on the ground in Zimbabwe. After that, we hope that fellows stay with us and become consistent members of Upenyu.

As an Upenyu member, you will be given a very small stipend intended to cover your food and living expenses; you will have to pay for your plane ticket (although if its a problem, don't let it deter you from applying--we can work something out).

As a member of the organization, you will work with existing members both to fundraise and to procure resources for our programs. They are both large responsibilities.
